ReplyTo update on this, according to RIDOT the repairs have been made, and the bridge is back to its usual weight limit. More permanent repairs are still planned for 2014.

ReplyI've deleted two comments from this blog, one of which was about a network's coverage of the event from a political angle, and a comment that directly responded to the first one. Since this is a first-hand account from a runner about her experience, I didn't really think it was appropriate. If you'd like to talk about the coverage of the marathon, I'd encourage you to bring up the subject via your own blog, instead of making comments on only tangentially related things like this story.
