Superintendent Introduces New School District Assessment Presentation; Discusses Volunteer Policy Revision

The presentation showcased new and cutting-edge ways to assess students' readiness for the future.

School Superintendent Michael Convery delivered Coventry's Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) presentation at Tuesday night's School Committee meeting. (See attached PDF.) The presentation included information about how Coventry will implement the RI Department of Education's (RIDE) Strategic Plan and Race to the Top initiatives as well as the district's own Improvement Plan for its schools. The plans are based on increased student success and RIDE's seven core expectations.
