Coventry Resident Donna Ranucci Takes Part in TV Cooking Competition
Ranucci was chosen to compete from thousands of contenders.
Two years ago Coventry resident Donna Ranucci was thrust into the national spotlight, finishing as runner-up on the Rachael Ray television show cooking challenge, "Hey, Can you Cook?!" This time in a bid to win the top prize of $50,000 on another Ray challenge show, "Hey, Can you Cook?! All-Stars," Ranucci and competitor Timothy Morris of Washington- with whom she was paired- were the first two of a total of six contestants eliminated. Her second appearance meant more travel than ever, shuttling back and forth between RI and NY where the show is taped, but then on to Mexico, the first time it ever aired in a foreign country. “I made 10 airplane trips in seven days and we had to make a two-and-a-half-hour drive up into the mountains,” she …
