The Lady Oakers rounded out their dual meet season on Monday.
The Coventry High School Girls' Track team concluded their dual meet season with a 5-4 record after defeating Prout and Narragansett on Monday, April 29, but losing to South Kingstown. Katie Cronin led the team again with double wins in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles and Reilly Mitchell continued to lead the team in throwing events. Also running well for Coventry was Allison Bellows in the 3K, Jessica Bellows, Courtney Grant, Kayla Dwyer and Kelsie Lopez in the 1500 and 800 meter. Gianna Rocchio in the 200 and 4x 400 meter relay. Cassie Champagne competed well in the triple jump, wining the event. Amanda Terenzie and Marissa Fascio both represented CHS in the 3K. Great job CHS Girls!
The more experienced Oakers won this round of the rivalry, 3-1.
The girls’ volleyball teams from Coventry High and The Prout School staged the latest chapter in their budding rivalry in the Crusaders’ hot, humid gym Wednesday night. Coventry also graduated three key players, All-Stater Courtney DiBiasio and All-Division players Hannah Cole and Samantha Niquette.
