Cub Scouts Carry on Caroling Tradition

This was the third year that Pack 17 has gone Christmas Caroling in Blackrock.

For the third year in a row, Cub Scouts from Pack 17 brought some holiday cheer to Coventry residents when they Christmas caroled their way down a number of streets in the area of Blackrock Elementary School. Several parents and Cubmaster David Silva accompanied the Pack as they traversed the neighborhood singing classic Christmas tunes.  "We had a great time," said Silva. Following the 3rd Annual Christmas Caroling "Pack Meeting", the Scouts gathered for an awards ceremony that was complete with hot chocolate and cookies.

This Coventry house is one of the 24 finalists in Patch’s Deck the House contest. Vote now to help this entry win $100,000 for Coventry schools.

Could this be the best “decked” house in the country? Possibly. Congratulations to Tyler Horrocks, the mastermind behind the Crazy Christmas House for being chosen as one of the 24 finalists in our Deck the House contest! According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home in Wood Estates has the best holiday lights in town. Check out the spectacular video here.  We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a larger-than-life, animated Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors. We loved showcasing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. …
