It's National Candy Cane Day, which seems fitting given that you likely have a surplus lying around at this point in the holiday season. We visited the National Confectioners Association website to gather the questions and answers for a quiz dedicated to the striped peppermint candy synonymous with the season. For the third year in a row, Cub Scouts from Pack 17 brought some holiday cheer to Coventry residents when they Christmas caroled their way down a number of streets in the area of Blackrock Elementary School. Several parents and Cubmaster David Silva accompanied the Pack as they traversed the neighborhood singing classic Christmas tunes. "We had a great time," said Silva. Following the 3rd Annual Christmas Caroling "Pack Meeting", the Scouts gathered for an awards ceremony that was complete with hot chocolate and cookies.

Update - Dec. 19, 3:06 p.m.: Western Coventry Fire Deputy Chief Kelly Guastini announced that WCFD has just made contact with Santa and although his schedule is very busy this time of year, he has agreed to make a few stops out in Western Coventry!
