CHS Junior Organizes Pet Food and Supply Drive

The following is a notice from Danielle Albro about the drive.

  My name is Danielle Albro and I am an eleventh grade student at Coventry High School. In 2009 and 2010, I did a pet food/supply drive for the Coventry and West Warwick Animal Shelters as well as The Coventry Food Bank. The response was incredible! A few highlights of my collections were: 765 pounds of dry dog food, 343 cans of dog food; 483 pounds of dry cat food, 389 cans of cat food, 515 pounds of cat litter; and incredible amounts of needed household supplies such as bleach, trash bags and paper towels. This year, I will be running the drive again. The focus of my drive will be for my Capstone project at Coventry High School. A Capstone is a prerequisite for graduation and requires a student to focus in-depth on a core question/issue …
