Judge Appoints Land as Permanent Special Master of CCFD
Richard Land will continue to oversee the Central Coventry Fire District during the Special Mastership process.
During a Tuesday morning hearing held at the Washington County Courthouse in Wakefield, R.I. Superior Court Judge Brian P. Stern appointed Richard Land as Permanent Special Master of the Central Coventry Fire District. "The only difference is that the new appointment makes permanent what was temporary before," explained Land. "This is just another step in the path to resolve the issues of the district. Assuming that we can eventually get an approved budget and get where we need to be, the Special Mastership can then be dismissed."
