Coventry Delegation Calls on CCFD Residents to Attend Feb. 11 Meeting
Fire District receiver Richard Land will present budget proposal calling for substantial increase in tax rate.
Members of the Coventry delegation to the General Assembly -- State Senators Leonidas P. Raptakis and Nicholas Kettle, along with State Representatives Jared Nunes, Lisa Tomasso, Michael Chippendale, Scott Guthrie, Patricia Serpa and Patricia Morgan -- are calling on voters to attend Monday night’s meeting of the Central Coventry Fire District. Richard Land, who was appointed to serve as Special Master overseeing the district’s operations, will be presenting a budget proposal that calls for changes in the tax structure, as well as the tax rate. District residents will also have an opportunity to vote on other referenda. Legislators and the State Board of Elections have secured voting machines and paper ballots to ensure fair and accurate…

That's right QuidnickCrusader, just keep rewarding bad budget practices. I was part of the old Central, our taxes were $1.35 and Chief Seltzer assured us that with the merge they would go down. They have only gone through the roof. If you really believe that $147 this year will be the end of it you are sooooo sadly mistaken.
