As a new gun buyer, I went to several other gun shops in the area. The people in the other shops didnt seem to want to bother with me seeing I wasnt an experienced gun buyer. On the recommendation of a friend , I stopped by Midstate and was greeted by one the guys there, who took the time to talk to me about guns. The following day I went back and bought my first gun. I would definately recommend these guys, They are great!

I have dealt with a number of Gun shops over the last thirty years. I have never had a more satisfying and pleasurable experience than with this company. Unlike many other gun shops full of arrogant, ignorant, "Unwilling to meet the needs of a new gun buyer" this shop promotes responsible, educated, gun ownership in a time when the NRA needs it most. I personally believe that this gun shop is the best one around. (This is not an stroke and blow show, it's the observation of an NRA member in good standing, who has many years experience with fire arms.)

They are always willing to help you get what you want, unlike some other places, I prefer to business with them over any other shop in RI.

The owner and the employees are very knowledgeable, patient, respectful and friendly to both rookie and veteran shooters alike. As Matthew Bush said these guys really won't BS you because they too have purchased firearms from the limited number of Rhode Island vendors and because they've learned the hard way how those other vendors can be when it comes to watching you try to buy something that they sell but don't respect as a weapon platform. You won't have that problem with these store which for me is definitely a first. That said I just bought my brand new S&W Sigma last week at a fair & competitive price and I get to pick it up today!

Went in to buy an AR-15. The guys there are very friendly and extremely intelligent, and if they dont know something they wont BS you. Great group of guys, great weapon selection. I wont shop for firearms anywhere else in RI.
