Your Guide: Friends of CPL to Host 3rd Annual Artisan Fair & Book Bash

Saturday's fair will feature art, crafts and other homemade goods from local artisans and vendors.

Want to get a jump on your Christmas shopping? Thinking about picking up a new book to read? If you answered yes to either, then this weekend's Artisan Fair and Book Bash is for you! If you didn't - well, stop by anyhow, there's something for everyone!

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Friends of the Coventry Public Library will host their 3rd Annual Artisan Fair and Book Bash at the library and across the hall in Town Council Chambers.

The fair will feature local artisans and crafters from Coventry and across Rhode Island who offer homegrown or handmade items of all kinds for purchase. Guests will be able to browse everything from knitted and crocheted items, stained glass, photography and art, to jewelry, pottery and more!

Bookworms need look no further than right outside the Library doors where the Book Bash will be held, offering donated books, puzzles, movies and more for all ages at inexpensive prices. Customers will be able to purchase a large Friends of CPL tote bag which they can fill to the brim with Book Bash items for just $3!

For the kiddos, Mr. Balloon Man himself, Ron Sargent will be on hand from 10 a.m. until noon to make balloon animals for children at no cost. Face-painting may also be available in the library foyer.

Funds raised through the rental of vendor booths and book sales enable The Friends of CPL to provide the Library with museum passes, summer reading programs and other important services that may not be possible to purchase otherwise.
