Your Guide: 1st Annual Open Bass Fishing Team Tournament

Grab your fishing pole, bait and tackle box on Saturday, Sept. 14 to take part in the 1st Annual Open Bass Fishing Team Tournament!

The event organized by the Pawtuxet River Authority & Watershed Council in association with the Scituate RI Bass Anglers will kick off at 7 a.m. at Johnson's Pond/Flat River Reservoir at Colwell's Campground on Flat River Road in Coventry and will run until 3 p.m.

Saturday's tournament has an eight fish limit and boasts a 100 percent payout to those who place in the top five spots, based on a 40-boat field.

Prize money payout is as follows, along with an optional $10 Lunker Pool:

1st Place: $1,500

2nd Place: $1,000

3rd Place: $700

4th Place: $500

5th Place: $300

Prepaid entry is $110 or $120 cash at ramp (includes a $10 ramp fee). Each contestant will receive one raffle ticket and one refreshment ticket with their entry fee.
