This Weekend: Make & Take Crafts, Softball Registration and More

Here are just a handful of ideas to kickstart your weekend planning.

Weekend Fun at CPL: On Saturday mornings, the Coventry Public Library hosts Drop-In Crafts to Make & Take where children of all ages can create a fun craft project to take him. Also offered on Saturday mornings is Drop-In Games, during which kids of any change can play board games with friends. No registration required.

CGSL Registration: From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and again from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Coventry Girls Softball League will hold a registration for the 2014 Fast Pitch and Slow Pitch seasons. Registration will take place at the Coventry Community Center, located at 1277 Main Street (Rte. 117). For division and registration information, visit www.coventrysoftball.com or click here

Bingo at Knotty Oak: Every Saturday at 6 p.m. (doors open at 4 p.m.), Knotty Oak Village will host weekly Bingo in the Community Hall, located at 14 Manchester Circle.

Beginner Line Dancing: From 6-8 p.m. every Sunday night through June 8, the Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge, located at 42 Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich, will hold Beginner Line Dancing Classes. Cost is $6 per person. All ages are welcome. Call Lori at 821-4361 or the Lodge at 397-3700 for more information. Proceeds benefit Elks charities.
