Girl Scout Recruitment: From 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the Coventry Community Center (1277 Main St.), representatives from Girl Scouts of Rhode Island will be on hand to assist future Girl Scouts with registration. Girl Scouts is open to all girls, grades K-12 who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Dues are just $25/year per girl (national dues are $15 and RI council service fee is $10). Women and men over 17 can join as adult members. Financial assistance is available. Online registration is also available at www.gsri.org. PYO Berries: From 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at Alpacas of Harkney Hill (1394 Harkney Hill Rd.), customers can "Pick Your Own" low and high-growing wild blueberries and huckleberries to purchase. Autumn Equinox Ceremony: Visit the Sage Cauldron (67 Sandy Bottom Rd.) from 6:30-8 p.m. on Sunday, the eve of the Autumn Equinox, for a powerful, tangible experience of sound and sensation. The purpose of the event is too promote relaxation and healing. No meditation experience required, but bring a blanket, pillow and pad to lay on - whatever you need to completely relax. $20 per person.
