Monday Essentials: Town Council Meets, Genealogy Discussion and More

Today is Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 and here are some things to know about the week ahead.

Meeting of the Council: The Coventry Town Council will meet Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall. Click here to view this evening's agenda.

Genealogy at NEFA: From 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, New England Farm and Artist (NEFA), (1112 Main Street), is offering "Genealogy with Andrew Boisvert" - an interactive discussion that will focus on teaching participants how to organize their research and where to look for records. (You may recognize Andrew as the author of Coventry Patch's popular Coventry Roots column.) Fee is $15 per person. 18+ Bingo: The Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) will hold Bingo this and every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $4 plus Specials. All are welcome, but must be 18 years and older to play.

Community Flu Clinics: From 10:30-11 a.m. Thursday, South County Hospital will host a local flu vaccination clinic at Rebuilders Automotive Supply, located at 1650 Flat River Road, Coventry.

Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales this and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.
