Monday Essentials: Town Council Meets, CPR Course Offered and More

Today is Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 and here are some things to know for the week ahead.

Town Council: The Coventry Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at Coventry Town Hall. Click here to view this evening's agenda.

School Committee: At 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Coventry School Committee will meet for their first meeting of 2014 at Blackrock School, located at 12 La Casa Drive. Click here to view Tuesday's agenda.

Wellness Community CPR Course: Has your CPR certification expired or are you just interested in learning this invaluable skill? The Coventry Wellness Community is hosting a 2-year CPR certification course at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Town Hall Annex (1675 Flat River Rd.). Click here for more information about the course and how to register.

CPD Safety Event: From 12-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, the Coventry Police Department will hold a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop at Dunkin Donuts, located at 800 Tiogue Avenue.

Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales this and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.
