Local Hip-Hop Artist Will Honor Recent Accident Victim
A Friday night concert will benefit the family of Doug Auger.
On Friday, August 17, local hip-hop artist and Coventry High School Basketball coach, Brandon “Renaissance” Sweeney, will be at the at 33 Sandy Bottom Rd., Coventry to support the family of 18-year-old Doug Auger, .
Admission is five dollars. $1.00 of each ticket sold will go to the Auger family to help with expenses. A donation bucket and a 50-50 raffle will take place with 100 percent of those profits going to the family.

Free glow sticks will be given out and “cracked” as a moment of silence takes place for Doug. Doors open at 9 p.m. with acts performing throughout the night from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. A previous show in June recorded nearly 250 people and tonight’s event is expected to surpass and reach capacity.
