Five Things You Need To Know Today, January 22

Today is Tuesday, Jan. 22. Here are five things you need to know:

 

Trash Pickup Delay: Remember, due to Monday's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, trash and recycling pickup in Coventry will be on a one-day delay schedule for the week.

BJ's CHS Fundraiser Deadline: Tomorrow is the last day to take part in Coventry High School's special BJ's fundraising offer. Staff, friends and families of the school can get $10 off the $50 Annual Membership Fee, an additional three months of membership (15 total) and a second membership card for a household member. $5 of your Membership Fee will be donated to CHS' Climate and Culture Committee to develop programs and other initiatives to improve the culture in the building. Pink Heals - Rescheduled: The first Pink Heals RI Chapter Meeting of 2013 will be held tonight at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. for Board members) at The Meeting House Women's Center (53 Providence St., West Warwick, Suite 5). The meeting will focus on the organization's plans for the new year and upcoming events. Feel free to attend if you're interested in being involved.

Walking Club Change: For residents who have enrolled in the Parks & Recreation 2013 Walking Club on Wednesday mornings, Director Guy Lefebvre has announced that it has been changed to Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. in the Town Gym (located at 1675 Flat River Rd. in the Town Hall Annex). The club will start Thursday, Jan. 24 and $8 per person. Call 822-9107 to register or for more information.
