First Inductees Chosen for CHS Hall of Fame

The individuals will be recognized at a special May 31 ceremony.

 

The executive board of the newly-formed CHS Alumni Association have chosen the following individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for the year 2012:

  • James A. DiPrete, former principal of CHS;
  • Andrea Hopkins, Class of 1964 - successful business person, URI Alumni booster and outstanding citizen  
  • Robert A. Peltier, former teacher and football coach at CHS
  • Anne Proffitt Dupre, Class of 1970, who recently passed away but taught law at the University of Georgia and served as a law clerk for United States Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun after graduating first in her law class from the University of Georgia Law School.

A dinner to honor inductees will be held on Thursday, May 31 at beginning with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards ceremony 7 p.m.
