Coventry High School 2013 Homecoming Weekend Highlights

CHS students celebrated their 2013 Homecoming Weekend with a football game, parade, semi-formal dance and crowning of this year's King and Queen.

On Friday, Oct. 25, the Coventry High School Oakers kicked off their 2013 Homecoming Weekend with a home football game against division rival Mount Hope High School. The Oakers football team came out victorious, beating Mount Hope 22-14.

During half time, spectators were entertained by cheerleading routines, band selections and the introduction of this year's Homecoming King and Queen candidates.

Saturday morning, CHS students from each grade proudly displayed the end result of weeks of preparation during the Homecoming Parade, which this year followed a Disney animated movie theme. Floats featured Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Lilo & Stitch, The Lion King and 101 Dalmatians.

Later that night, students donned their semi-formal best to attend the themed Homecoming dance, "An Evening of Enchantment" in the high school gymnasium. During the dance, last year's Homecoming king and queen, Tyler Vigeant and Sydney Dwyer crowned the 2013 pair, Tyler Willett and Briana Clift, who were nominated and voted for by their peers along with eight other Homecoming hopefuls.
