Coventry High Excluded From Top 5 State Rankings

US News & World Report this week released its annual report of the nation's top high schools.

US News & World Report released its annual report of the nation's top high schools Tuesday and Coventry High School was excluded from the list of top five Rhode Island public schools.

Barrington High School was ranked No. 1.

The report found:

  • Coventry High has a 11:1 student-to-teacher ratio (state average was 12:1)
  • Its "college readiness" score was 11.9 out of 100
  • 32 percent of students were proficient in math
  • 86 percent of students were proficient in English
