Committee Approves Homework, Grading Policies

Four policies were put into place at Tuesday's School Committee meeting.

During the Aug. 28 School Committee, members approved the following four school policies that will be implemented during the 2012-2013 school year:

  • ASFMS Grading Policy
  • Coventry High School Homework Policy
  • ASFMS Homework Policy
  • Elementary Homework Policy

Each policy was presented at past Committee meetings and published on the district's website in order to receive feedback from the public. Committee members acknowledged that all of the policies are living documents and may be amended in the future, but also agree that they will bring much more consistency for parents, teachers and students alike.
