ASFMS Boys and Girls Basketball Teams Both Conquer Scituate Opponent

Thursday proved to be a successful day for both Falcons teams.

 

Girls Basketball

The Girls basketball team beat Scituate Middle School on Thursday 35-28 to stay undefeated and move into sole first place in the division. Their tenacious defense held Scituate to just 11 points in the first half.

Thurstina Horton and Kaitlin Mattera both scored the nine points each and Sarah McGrath and Dakota Grenier each added five points. Casey Gagan scored four points, Phylicia Horton added another two and Katie Beaudoin rounded the score out with one point and played great defense.

The team plays away against North Smithfield Middle School next Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Boys Basketball

The Boys basketball team got back on the winning track Thursday afternoon with an impressive 63-27 victory over Scituate Middle School.

The Falcons had 15 different players earn their place in the scoring column.

Domenic Aguiar led the falcons with 10 points. Matt Ricci, Ethan Holmes, Kyle Hensler and Nick Mahar each scored six points. Brayden Cooley scored five while Chris Cloutier, Zach Garcia and Lucas Martin each scored four points. Morgan Field, Gian Avedesian, Ryan Koch and Etan Lepain all scored two points each and Marcus Johnson and Kyle Willett rounded out the scoring with one point each.  

The team plays at home next Thursday against North Smithfield Middle School at 3:30 p.m.
