Other facts
I have over 30 years experience in education and business. Managing Coventry's Budget for Education of over $65,000,000 and managing a potential of $8,450,000 in school bonds requires a professional who understands the importance of using your tax dollars effectively. I have also been strongly committed to community service my entire adult life. Most recently I served on the Coventry Charter Revision Commission, and I am a member of the Coventry Land Trust. As a member of the Commission, I supported non-partisan, local elections. It is important that the voters elect a person at the local level who is experienced in education and business, responsive to the needs of the community, and knowledgeable about budgeting - these are the qualities I bring to the community and the schools. If elected to the School Committee, I will work on these issues that are most critical for our students: Raise student performance levels, fix the physical infrastructure at our schools, and improve our high school accreditation rating. See my web site for a discussion of each of these issues.
