Ann Dickson Announces Candidacy for Coventry School Committee

Dickson is running for the District 1 seat.

 

Ann Dickson has announced her candidacy for Coventry School Committee, District #1. She has lived in Coventry with her husband for 6 years. They have two adult children – her daughter is a middle school music teacher and her son, a graduate of Coventry High School, is an attorney.

Ann was raised and educated in Rhode Island and after graduating from Cranston High School and then Brown University, she started her career in public education. She has a Doctor of Education degree from Boston University.

Ann later started a business career with a focus on planning, program management, and organizational excellence. She is currently employed as a Senior Staff Business Process Analyst for Schneider-Electric, a global leader in energy management. 

Ann is strongly committed to community service and served on the Coventry Charter Revision Commission and is currently a member of the Coventry Land Trust. As a member of the Charter Revision Commission, she supported non-partisan local elections. “It is important that the voters elect a person who is experienced, responsive, knowledgeable about budgeting and financing, and a problem solver," she said.
