Coventry Real Estate Agents Offer Home Discounts to Local Heroes

Homes for Heroes, the nation's largest hero savings program, recently joined forces with several mortgage and real estate agents in Coventry to benefit local residents who work each day to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Homes for Heroes (HFH) aims to help close the gap between the costs of housing for firefighters, first responders, military personnel, peace/police officers, educators and healthcare workers by offering significant savings during the buying, selling, renting or refinancing process.

Newly involved with the program as realtor affiliates, Katina Lafazia, Monika Picard and Gail McGinnis of Remax Central in Coventry will be working with lender affiliates Kim Jillson of Residential Mortgage Services and Juan Cerda of Shamrock Mortgage to provide the following rebates and discounts to the area's qualifying heroes:

• A 25% rebate, at closing towards closing costs, from the real estate affiliate's company's gross commission
• Discounted lending fees on purchase or refinances with a HFH preferred lender
• Discount on private home inspections with HFH preferred home inspection company
• Discount on closing fee when using HFH preferred title company

Now celebrating its 12th year, Homes for Heroes has grown from an idea originally intended to serve only the Minnesota real estate market to a thriving nationwide program, owing greatly to the far-reaching communicative power of the Internet.
