Taken straight from a court filing by CCFD Board of Directors---see below

HEARING DATE: MAY 12, 2014

STATE OF RHODE ISLAND                KENT, SC.
Girard Bouchard, in his capacity as President of the Board of Directors of the Central Coventry Fire District vs.Central Coventry Fire District

PETITION TO APPROVE FEES OF LEGAL COUNSEL TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

NOW COMES, David M. D'Agostino, Esq., attorney for the Board of Directors("Board") of the Central Coventry Fire District ("CCFD") and respectfully requests that this court approve the fees and expenses accrued by the law finn of Gorham and Gorham, Inc.("Gorham") for services rendered in the above-captioned matter. In support thereof, the Board, through counsel, states as follows:I. This Court previously authorized the Board to engage Gorham as counsel to assist the Board in carrying out the duties and tasks identified in the CCFD's governing documents and orders of this Court.
2. The Court has reserved to itself the right to review all fees and expenses of legal and accounting professionals engaged in the above-captioned Receivership.
3. From December 2, 2013 through February 28, 2014, Gorham has incurred fees and expenses in the amount of [$5,580.00], all as set forth in the fee statement attached hereto as Exhibit 1.
4. In a decision issued by the Court on February 12, 2014, the Court specifically withdrew the delegated authority granted to the Board from the May 17, 2013 decision, but retained the constituted Board to be the representative of the voters and taxpayers of the CCFD. As such, the within accountancy fees are expected to be the final fees for professional services rendered. The attorneys' fees will likely continue to the extent that the Board requires the assistance of independent legal counsel in carrying out its sole (and remaining)delegated authority.
5. The Board requests that the Exhibit l attached hereto be reviewed in camera and specifically requests that a protective order be entered concerning their dissemination since they contain legal strategies related to matters that may still be the subject of litigation(in this or other forums) involving the CCFD.
WHEREFORE, the undersigned counsel respectfully requests that, should the Court determine that the fees and expenses of Gorham and Krekorian are fair, reasonable and necessary, this Court (a) approve Gorham's fees and expenses for services rendered in the amount of $5,580.00; (b) authorize and direct the Liquidating Receiver (formerly the Special Master) to pay Gorham on account of such respective fees and services; and, (c)grant any other further relief the Court deems appropriate.
