What's Closed on Columbus Day in Coventry?

Here's a list of some of the Coventry government, school, office and other closures for Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 8, organized by location:

• Town Hall and other municipal offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 8.
• Coventry Public Library will be closed Monday, Oct. 8.
• Greene Library will be closed Monday, Oct. 8. as part of its normal schedule.
• U.S. Post Office will be closed Monday, Oct. 8.
• Coventry schools will be closed Monday, Oct. 8.
• Coventry Police and Fire departments will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8 for clerical and records purposes.
• Coventry Department of Public Works will will be closed Monday, Oct. 8. Trash pickup will be on a one-day delayed schedule beginning Tuesday.
• Coventry Animal Control will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8.
• Department of Human Services will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8.
• Area banks will be closed on Labor Day, except for the Citizens Bank Stop & Shop branch which will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Be sure to call ahead to your favorite local businesses before venturing out, just in case they have changed their hours to observe the holiday.
