Other facts

I am a fiscal conservative and as I promised in my 2010 campaign I have never voted for a single new tax, tax increase or any budget that would cause deficit spending. I also sponsored and supported bills to help our ailing business community, and also reduce the unfunded mandates the state places on our towns.

Dear "Richard Flint", seeing that you do not show up on the voter registration files for District 40, one can only conclude that you are a person who doesn't have the guts to put his real name on a post. EdMc. And to be truthful about me, Mike Chippendale, "this guy" has the number 1 rated voting record in the entire 113 member legislature pertaining to taxes and budgets as rated by the Center for Freedom and Prosperity. "This guy" was named the 2011-2012 "Friend of Small Business" by the National Federation of Businesses. "This guy" passed landmark legislation that closed a loophole in public school committee financing procedures that was wasting MILLIONS of taxpayers dollars every year and none of it went to the students. "This guy" passed a law that puts measures in place to detect Medicaid Fraud, "this guy" passed a law that modified the probate process so families wouldn't lose their farms... that's the tip of the iceberg... My voting record, while inconvenient for your purposes, speaks for itself. Anyone who has questions about where I stand on issues needs only to review my website, blog or email me directly. www.repchip.com. Or go onto the state legislature website and review my voting record - one that I am very proud of and stand proudly upon. This campaign season has been negative enough thanks to people like you Ed, if you are going to hide behind a fake name, why should you be taken seriously?

I did not question your voting record. The fact remains you accomplished nothing in 2 years. What bill did you sponsor that passed? How many of your votes made a difference? You are in the MINORITY therefore cannot bring anything home for your district..I am voting for a new face: Lauri A. ARCHAMBAULT
Michael Chippendale November 03, 2012 at 06:22 PM
I'm fairly certain that I laid out 3 pieces of legislation above that you must have missed, and if you query my voting record on the state website, or you can check out RIVotes.org where the votes, bills and their impact are articulated in layman terms which is often easier to understand because it's not written in "legi-talk". The recognitions I also cited above didn't just "happen" because I did "nothing". From the body of your posts on the Patch you're obviously a democrat, and that's fine, but it also appears as if you're registered to vote in several House districts. If you can only throw generalities out about all Republicans, and general praise for all democrats you bring nothing positive to the discussion.

Archambault's platform is the same old and tired thinking that put this state in the crapper. It's very clear, Dick, that you simply vote for any name with a "D" next to it on the ballot.

Hey Dicky, looks like you didn't get your wish pal...
