Coventry EMA Staff are reviewing the possibility, but have not made any final decisions regarding mobile home park evacuations and the opening of a shelter for town residents. The Coventry EMA staff are making plans for providing sandbags for residents that may need such for flooding; debris cleanup for after the storm, opening of roads that may become blocked by debris, plans for possible school closure, restoration of utilities should they be lost during the storm and the possibility of water distribution after the storm.

Emergency response by fire, police, department of public works and human services support is prepared and ready to respond to the community’s needs.

Decisions regarding evacuations and sheltering will be forthcoming shortly and appropriate information regarding such will be released to the public.
