Council Approves Business, Entertainment Licenses

Council approved multiple new licenses and renewals Monday night.

The following license applications were approved during the Oct. 28 meeting of the Coventry Town Council:

  • Application for new Class B License by Garden Zen, LLC, 495 Washington St. Owner will adhere to noise restrictions held previously by Café Romanzo.
  • Transfer of Class B License from Sun Lee Enterprises (Mai Tai) to Chen & Chen Inc. (Chen & Chen Restaurant), 856 Tiogue Avenue. 
The following Class A liquor licenses (package stores) were renewed:
  • Anthony's Wine and Spirits
  • Bill's Package Store
  • Coventry Wine & Liquor
  • Crestwood Liquors
  • Shopper's Liquors
The following Class B liquor licenses (full liquor licenses, including live show entertainment and dance) were renewed:
  • Come Along Inn, Olde Theater Diner, Village Pub, Nicky's, Chen & Chen, Nino's, Reko's Pitcher's Mound Venus Pizza, Bella's Sports Bar, Harris Bar & Grille, Applebee's, Cozy Grille, Cilantro, Andiamo!, Patriot Bar & Pizza, Tin Cup Golf and Driving Range, Indigo Pizza and Lounge, Fat Belly's, WOW on Washington, Dragon Palace and Ricotti's Subs
The following Class B Ltd. liquor licenses (beer and wine only) were renewed:
  • Gentleman Farmer
  • Pete's Pizza
  • Hunan Balcony
  • Pagliarini's Family Restaurant & Pizza 
  • Coventry Pines Golf Course
The following Class D liquor licenses (club license including live show and dance) were renewed: 
  • Club Jogues
  • VFW
  • Coventry Men's Club 
  • PNA
The following Class E liquor license (pharmacy) was renewed:
  • Phusion RX (17 Coventry Shoppers Park)
