West Warwick Man Indicted For First Degree Child Molestation in Coventry

19-year-old Chandler Cardente has accrued multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with minors since June of this year.

Chandler Cardente, 19, of Pond St., West Warwick, was indicted Wednesday by the Statewide Grand Jury with one count of first degree child molestation.

It is alleged that on or about June 12, 2013, Cardente molested a 14-year-old girl in Coventry. Coventry Police conducted the investigation. 

Cardente is scheduled to be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.

Recent Related Offenses

According to court records, Cardente first faced a judge in Kent County District Court back in June when he was charged with statutory rape and child molestation. West Warwick police reported he admitted having sex with a 14-year-old girl and molesting a 2-year-old boy.

In September, reports show Cardente was once again arrested following a joint investigation by West Greenwich and West Warwick police. The allegations included two counts of first-degree child molestation. In this case, detectives said Cardente admitted having sex with a 13-year-old girl, reported missing from Coventry.
