State Police Reports and Legal Logs - February 2013 #2

A collection of various Coventry-related arrests and Grand Jury reports. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wickford Barracks

  • At 9:03 a.m. on Feb. 7, Troopers arrested Evan Crabtree, 40, of 33 Park Ave., Coventry, RI on a 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License from the Rhode Island State Police Hope Valley Barracks. The arrest was the result of assisting a road walker on the on-ramp to 95 South from Quaker Lane in the City of Warwick. Crabtree was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to 3rd District Court.

Hope Valley Barracks

  • At 11:08 p.m. on Feb. 11, Troopers arrested John Kokla, 65, of 22 Ames St., Apt. #2, Coventry, RI for Driving Under the Influence .15 or greater –1st Offense (Phase 1 –. 186, Phase 2 - .177 BAC). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in the Town of West Warwick. Kokla was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with future court dates.
  • On Feb. 14, at 8:18 p.m., Troopers arrested Welington Perez, 26, of 22 Edith St., Apt # 14, Coventry, RI for 1) Possession of Schedule I-IV, 2) Possession of Marijuana, 3) Driving with a Suspended License. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. Perez was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending arraignment morning in Third District Court.
  • At 8:18 p.m. on Feb. 14, Troopers arrested Connie Caba, 24, of 22 Edith St., Apt #14, Coventry, RI for Possession of Marijuana. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. Caba was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
  • On Friday, Feb. 15, at 11:05 a.m., Troopers arrested Joseph Moreau, 21, of 2013A New London Tpke., Coventry, RI on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hazard Street in the Town of Coventry. Moreau was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Third Division District Court.
