State Police Reports and Legal Logs - February 2013

A collection of various Coventry-related arrests and Grand Jury reports. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wickford Barracks 

On Jan., 25, 2013, At 2:30 p.m., Troopers arrested Greg Waldron, 34, of 7 Black Walnut Rd., Coventry, RI on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing – Sentence Imposed on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. Waldron was processed at the Wickford Barracks, special arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Robinson, and released with a future court date in 3rd District Court.

Detective Bureau

On Feb. 1, Detectives arrested Howard L. Bentley, 39, of 19 Anthony St., Coventry, RI, on a Federal Court Warrant for Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition by a Convicted Felon. Bentley was arrested without incident at his residence and turned over to the United States Marshals to appear in Federal Court.

Wickford Barracks

At 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 3, Troopers, arrested John F. Phillips, 34, of 1016 Victory Hwy., Coventry, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentence Review on the Original Charge of Driving With A Suspended License originating from the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 South in the Town of East Greenwich. Phillips was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court.
