State Police Log, June 2013: Fugitive from Justice, DUI and More

A collection of various Coventry-related arrests made by RI State Police. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

Detective Bureau

  • On June 19, members of the Major Crimes Unit arrested William Cady, 38, of 31A Old Summit Rd., Coventry, RI, for Violation of a No Contact Order. Cady was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and presented before a Justice of the Peace. He was transported to the Adult Corrections Institutions to await a morning arraignment in Third Division District Court.
  • On June 25, members of the Major Crimes Unit arrested Thomas Wypyszinski, 45, of 54 Cecile Ave., Coventry, RI, as a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he was wanted by the Taunton District Court on an original charge of Larceny. Wypyszinski was processed at State Police Headquarters and transported to Third Division District Court where he was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Houlihan.

Wickford Barracks

  • On June 19 at 9:15 p.m., Troopers arrested Jason Martin, 37, of 4 Oak Rd., Coventry, RI for 1.) Obstructing a Law Enforcement Official in the Execution of his Duty 2.) Driving with a Suspended License 3.) Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment for Failure to Appear for Non-Support 4.) 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License from the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on South County Trail in the Town of Exeter and subsequent investigation. Martin was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
Hope Valley Barracks
  • At 1:40 a.m. on June 20, Troopers arrested Nickolas Gervasio, 23, of 42 Kiley Wy., Coventry, RI, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC - Phase I .135, Phase II .137. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Quaker Lane in the City of Warwick. Gervasio was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment.
