State Police Log, July 2013: Controlled Substances, Reckless Driving and More

Lincoln Woods Barracks

• At 3:10 a.m. on July 6, Troopers arrested Shayna Zalcberg, 30, of 45 Hunters Crossing Dr., Coventry, RI, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence, BAC Unknown, 2.) Chemical Test Refusal, 3.) Reckless Driving. 

• On July 14 at 2:09 p.m., Troopers arrested Richard A. Lepage, 27, of 865 Knotty Oak Rd., Coventry, RI, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on the original charge of Domestic Vandalism originating out of the West Warwick Police Department. 

Wickford Barracks

• On July 11 at 7:45 a.m., Troopers arrested Jessica Harpin, 33, of 1 Lane B, Coventry, RI, for 1.) Possession of Controlled Substance I-V (Trazodone). 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the charge of Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 3.) Family Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Non-Payment of Child Support. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue, in the City of Warwick. Harpin was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.

• At 1:16 a.m. on July 23, Troopers arrested Ryan Zeolla, 22, of 43 Benoit St., Coventry, RI, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear and Pay on the charge of Driving on a Suspended License originating out of the Coventry Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on South County Trail in the Town of East Greenwich. Zeolla was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Hope Valley Barracks

• On July 16 at 10:40 a.m., Troopers arrested Ashley Mitchell, 24, of 759 Washington St., Coventry, RI, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay Fines on the original charge of Disorderly Conduct. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on West Warwick Avenue in the Town of West Warwick. Mitchell was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and later transported to Third District Court.
