State Police Log: Indecent Exposure, DUI and Child Porn Possession

A collection of various Coventry-related arrests made by RI State Police. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

Wickford Barracks

  • On Oct. 31, at 2:45 p.m., Troopers arrested Thomas D. Mottram, 45, of 56 Field Stone Dr., Coventry, RI, for Disorderly Conduct/Indecent Exposure. 
The arrest was the result of complaint made to Wickford Barracks by a female victim who observed Mottram exposing himself in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts on Tower Hill Road in South Kingstown. Mottram was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned before Justice of the Peace Robinson and released with future court dates.
  • At 6:35 a.m. on Nov. 8, Troopers arrested Garrick Wann, 27, of 450 Arnold Rd., Coventry, RI, for Driving Under Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs, 1st Offense BAC Unknown and Chemical Test Refusal. 
The arrest was the result of an investigation of a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 in Warwick. Wann was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed. He was subsequently arraigned in 3rd District Court.

Detective Bureau

  • On Oct. 31, members of the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit / Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Steven Mann, 25, of 581 Tiogue Ave., Apartment #3, Coventry, RI, for Possession of Child Pornography and Transmission of Child Pornography. 

Mann was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Third District Court before the Honorable Judge Clifton. He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance with special conditions to include no contact with children under the age of 18 and no access to the Internet.
