Police Continue to Seek Help Finding Ryan Center Graduation Theft Suspect

URI police are still seeking information from the public regarding a woman suspected of committing multiple larcenies during a graduation ceremony at the Ryan Center last month.

Reports from campus police say that a white female allegedly stole credit cards, gift cards, and large amount of cash from a number of vehicles during Coventry High School's graduation ceremony on June 15.

Some of the items stolen are believed to have been graduation gifts left in the cars of family members and friends during the commencement exercises.

"It's too bad that a lot of vehicles were broken into and many people lost things, including my wife and I," said Bill Baughan, whose son, Dakota, was one of the school's 359 graduates that evening.

Anyone with information is asked to call the University of Rhode Island Campus Police at (401) 874-2121.
