NK Man Indicted on Rape Charges

The rape allegedly occurred in October in Coventry.

The Kent County Grand Jury has indicted a 41-year-old North Kingstown man on rape charges.

Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin announced that Stephen Mulcahey, of 15 Ranger Road, was indicted Wednesday on one count of first-degree sexual assault stemming from an alleged rape that occurred in Coventry on Oct. 27 of 2013.

Coventry police led the investigation.

Mulcahey is due to be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on March 21.

This report is lacking much information. He seems to be a real danger to society. He was charged in November, 2013 with child pornography. He was found guilty of sexual assault in third degree and shoplifting in 1997. He has pleaded nolo to willful trespass, larceny and b & e. He was charged with domestic assault and disorderly conduct, then violating a protective order. Plus, many license suspensions.
