A Medfield, MA, girl missing since Monday has been found unharmed in Coventry, Medfield police confirmed Thursday morning.

Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney announced Thursday that Brittany Thompson has been found safe with an individual from Missouri, but no charges are pending. He said he was not sure if it was the same individual shown on a video from the Medfield Town Library, where she had last been seen.

"She is safe. She is unharmed. She is OK," he said.

Thompson, 17, was reported missing late Monday afternoon by her mother, who had gone to the library to pick her up at 5 p.m., and discovered she wasn't there.

Thompson is a senior at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin.

Her parents, Meaney said, were en route to Coventry to be reunited with their daughter. It was not clear what the circumstances were, Meaney said, and Rhode Island and Massachusetts police officials will follow up. But at this time, he said, no charges are expected.
