Today is Wednesday, May 22, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

 

Tiogue Night of the Arts: Tonight at 6 p.m., Tiogue Elementary School students will showcase their artwork created during the school year as well as their musical talents through choral and instrumental performances.

CANCELED - Planning Meeting: The May 22 meeting of the Coventry Planning Commission scheduled for 7 p.m. has been canceled.

Ask-A-Lawyer: The Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) will host Atty. Kristen A. Carren today from 11 a.m. to noon. Topics to be discussed include, but are not limited to wills/trusts, durable power of attorney, health and Medicare issues, reverse mortgages, banking and real estate. There will be a brief presentation followed by a Question & Answer period with a focus on Elder Law. 

Fire Protection Taskforce Meeting: Tonight at 7 p.m., the Central Coventry Citizens Taskforce for Fire Protection will meet at Club Jogues (184 Boston St.). The group plans to hold a vote to endorse seven candidates running for the Central Coventry Fire Disitrct Board of Directors. All residents are welcome to attend.

Wellness Community CPR Course: Has your CPR certification expired or are you just interested in learning this invaluable skill?
