CCFD Emergency Hearing: An emergency hearing will be held today at 2 p.m. before the Out County Business Calendar, Courtroom 4D at Kent County Superior Court, 222 Quaker Lane, Warwick, RI 02886. Special Master Richard Land's Emergency Petition to Authorize Liquidation of the Central Coventry Fire District will be considered. Click here for more information.

CPD Safety Event:  The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop from 12-3 p.m. at Dunkin Donuts (800 Tiogue Ave.).

Men's Club Steak Fry: Today is the last day to register for the Coventry Men's Club February Steak Fry on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Guests may choose from a steak ($12.99), chicken or fish (both $10.99) and will enjoy music by Big Cat Blues. Call 385-3536 to reserve your spot.

School Construction Bids: The Town of Coventry School Building Committee is seeking sealed bids for Architectural Engineering firm services for bond construction projects approved in November 2012. Sealed bids will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Feb. 28 at the School Dept. Administration Offices (1675 Flat River Rd.) Click here for complete details.

CHS Alumni Musicians: Brad DeGraide, choral director and teacher at CHS, and Marina Ferri (Class of 2008) have scheduled an alumni concert for Apr. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium to benefit the CHS Alumni Association. They are looking for former high school musicians who have remained in the music field either as a teacher, performer or music professional.
