Coventry Firefighters Knock Down South Main Street Blaze

Firefighters responded to 216 South Main St. for a report of smoke pouring out of the second floor of a building.

A fire broke out on South Main Street Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to 216 South Main St. for a report of smoke pouring out of the second floor of a building.

The fire was reported at about 11:45 a.m. Fire crews had it knocked down a few minutes later.

There were no immediate reports of injures.

was happy no one was injured, but it would have been nice if the police officer would have blocked the beginning of south main st across from dave's market instead of letting the cars go all the way down and have to do a turn around in someone's driveway and go back the same way!!!, didn't make sense the way they controlled the traffic, just sayin'
