CPD Arrest Two For Heroin Use and Distribution

Two 21-year-old males from Cranston and Providence were charged.

 

On May 22 at about 4:00 p.m., two males were arrested following an investigation conducted by detectives from Coventry and West Warwick police departments after information had been developed that Raul Lajara, 21 of 51 Alexander St., Cranston was routinely traveling into West Warwick and Coventry selling drugs.

After a month long investigation a vehicle that was being operated by Euberto Henderson, 21 of 41 Ashmont St., Apt #2, Providence was stopped by Coventry police on Boston St. Lajara was a passenger in the vehicle.

Both men were arrested and 46 small bags of suspected heroin were seized from the vehicle along with $940.00 in cash that was also impounded. The heroin has a street value of over $2000.

On May 23 both men were arraigned in Kent County District Court and charged with possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy, both felonies. No pleas were taken. Both men were ordered held without bail, pending a bail review.
