Coventry, West Greenwich Firefighters to 'Fill the Boot' for Families in Need

Firefighters from all Coventry fire districts and West Greenwich will be accepting donations this Saturday during the "Tis the Season" Boot Drive.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, firefighters from Anthony, Central Coventry, Hopkins Hill and Western Coventry, as well as West Greenwich fire departments will volunteer their time to participate in this year's "Tis the Season" Boot Drive.

Firefighters will be posted at the intersection of Tiogue Avenue, Arnold and Sandy Bottom Roads, fire boots in hand, to accept motorist contributions to benefit Coventry and West Greenwich families in need during the holidays.

This is one of the organizations' largest fundraising sources with 100% of contributions going directly to help local families enjoy a brighter holiday season.

Last year's "Tis the Season" Boot Drive raised a total of $8,100 to help those less fortunate.
