Coventry Police Arrest Two in Crack Cocaine Bust

More than $2,500 in crack was taken off the street by CPD officers.

On June 12, 2013 at approximately 11:10 a.m., Coventry Police Detectives arrested two men possessing more than $2,500 worth of crack cocaine. The arrests took place off New London Turnpike just east of Rt. 95 in Coventry.

Jachkeilan Trinidad, 20, of 1190 Charles St., North Providence, was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver. He was arraigned on June 13 and held as a violator. 

Jonathan Peguero, 18, of 560 Prospect St., Pawtucket, was also charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver. He was arraigned on June 13 and released on personal recognizance.

Undercover detectives were able to lure the two with text messages requesting to buy crack cocaine. The unsuspecting men agreed to the sale and arrived at the predetermined location where they were taken into custody. Detectives were assisted by uniformed members of the Coventry Police Department. 

Also seized in the bust was $1,876 in cash.
