Coventry Fire District Annual Meeting Agenda, Proposed Budget: Dec. 10, 2013

The Coventry (Anthony) Fire District will present the attached budget and discuss the following items at Tuesday's meeting at Club Jogues at 7 p.m.

At the upcoming Coventry Fire District Annual Meeting, to be held at Club Jogues (184 Boston St.) at 7 p.m. on Dec. 10, taxpayers of the district will be presented with reports from the Board of Directors, Chief, Tax Collector and Treasurer. They will also be presented with and given the opportunity to vote on the 2013-2014 budget and tax rate, as well as the election of Board of Directors.

Chief Paul Labbadia will present a detailed budget that will show specifics of each line item (shown in attached document) for both personnel and operations.  

The proposed figures show a Personnel budget of $1,982,033 and an Operations budget of $566,150, totaling $2,548,183.

Updated reports will be presented Tuesday night, however the latest Tax Collector Report, dated Nov. 26, showed the district had collected 88% of back taxes totaling more than $354,000. The same report showed that 78% of 2013 taxes have been collected as of Nov. 26; nearly $1.8 million.
