CCFD Firefighters get Termination Letters

Firefighters in the beleaguered Central Coventry Fire District got unpleasant mail yesterday as termination notices have begun to arrive in anticipation of the district's liquidation date of May 16.

In the letter, Richard J. Land, liquidating receiver for the district, said "unless otherwise notified," the employment of all employees of the district will cease on May 16 by 11:59 p.m.

Some employees will be given the chance to work with the receiver to complete the liquidation but there is no "specific information" about that at this time, Land wrote.

Hi Annie and Stevie , I will repeat, I do not and most everyone does not think the fireman had anything to do with the downfall of. CCFD. Annie, the firemen do not have the power of purchase, you should know this. How could they be involved I ask you? Your not making sense. I will run this by you again ..................the union negotiators bargained for the unsustainable contracts and additional manpower that could not be paid for as well as a new ladder truck. The budget was declared a guideline by the former chief. The union negotiators received whatever they asked for from the reckless bod thrusting us into liquidation, shameful ..........The end, literally.

Good evening Mr. Ferd. Can you enlighten us with whom negotiated this contract and possibly what the procedure is once an agreement has been made?

Melvin, many moons ago,I told you CCFD employees do not write checks. There's no reasoning with you--you do not listen to anyone. Sadly, you are a fool who couldn't do your job, you didn't accomplish anything but stay on this site crucifying the firefighters and trying to impeach the union president at all costs. You helped to liquidate the district and jeopardized the safety of the residents. I'm sure you have an exit plan, I would think your gig is over. Stick to storytelling--fiction suits you best.

Well someone said that Marie Baker is moving to Warwick to live out her life and spend her husbands STATE PENSION. She couldn't even speak at the state house with her mouth full of marbles because she knew everything was a lie!!
