CCFD Board Presentation: 'The Alternate Plan and Restructuring'

During the Nov. 13 meeting of the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors, Vice President Marie Baker presented the attached PowerPoint to residents and taxpayers in attendance.

The presentation focused on several options currently being considered by the Board, including contracting private EMS service, hiring on-call firefighters paid on an hourly basis, building a volunteer department or a combination of the above. A brief summary of several overtime and payroll costs for the district was also discussed in regards to whether they can be reduced in the future.

"We want to assure the taxpayers of Central Coventry there will always be fire and rescue services available to them," read the presentation. "Success is the only option."
