November 19, 2012:

We want to take this opportunity to say "THANK YOU" to all that participated in the 2012 'Tis the Season Firefighters' Boot Day.

A special "Thank You" goes to Chief Frank Brown of Hopkins Hill Fire Department and Captain Kelly Guastini from Western Coventry Fire Department who quietly assisted in setting up the schedule of shifts for the firefighters who wanted to be a part of this event that benefits residents of Coventry and West Greenwich.

Chief Tyler of Mishnock Fire Department and Fred Pendelbury of West Greenwich Station 1 deserve a "THANK YOU" for their willingness to organize their troops as well.

In the past, former CCFD Chief Robert Seltzer helped to organize the schedule with his fellow chiefs throughout both towns. Despite all the misinformation and unnecessary commotion around Central Coventry’s participation, this event was again a great success. This event’s (which just celebrated its 21st year) driving force is all departments working collaboratively together for the sole purpose of helping our residents.

We were able to receive over $8,000 in donations. The people who donated to the Boots deserve a big "THANK YOU" because with your help we can assist our fellow neighbors who find themselves in need.

THANK YOU and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!
