Goodbye and thank you for everything, Coventry!

My time at Coventry Patch has been a fantastic experience, but now it's time to say goodbye.

I was so saddened to read this morning that you will no longer be with the Coventry Patch. Your coverage of Coventry news and sports is unmatched. News was forthcoming from you as it was happening and residents I am sure appreciated this service. You gave everyone a forum to express their views and commented only when you were requested to do so. Maybe someday Coventry can have its own newspaper like the Valley Breeze and Observer in other communities. I can remember back in the 70s when I worked for the town we had a local newspaper called the Coventry Townsman. Good luck Lauren in whatever your chosen field is in the future. I am sure whatever you choose you will be as professional as you have been for the Patch.

Voter, Randy, Lila and Mary - your kind words mean so much! This has been the best experience a young journalist could ask for and I'm excited to see where it leads me next! Thank you.

Bummer, really enjoyed all the comments you monitored you were never heavy handed on the censor button. Also the breaking news was sometimes on the patch before other news outlets. Your dedication made this site a great place to spend a little time. Thanks and good luck!

Lauren, you will be sorely missed. You've been there to cover all of the great things our students and school community have achieved. You are an Oaker through and through. Best of luck in your future endeavors. Lori Ferguson

Hi Lauren. I lived in Coventry for my first 30 years and have lived in PA for the last 20. I always enjoyed your writing. It brought me back to the small town I still think of as home. Good luck in all you do.
